วิธีการเขียน Personal Statement

การเขียน SOP ที่ใช้ในการสมัครเรียนจึงเป็นหัวใจสำคัญหลักที่จะทำให้เราได้นำเสนอเรื่องราวของเราโดยตรงและจะต้องถ่ายทอดและสื่อถึงคณะกรรมการให้เกิดความน่าสนใจดึงดูดความประทับใจของคณะกรรมการออกมาให้ได้ จนทำให้คณะกรรมการคิดว่าจะต้องตัดสินใจเลือกและชอบในเรียงความของเรา จนนำมาซึ่งการทำให้เราเป็นผู้ที่ถูกคัดเลือก

โดยในเนื้อหาของการเขียน SOP ควรที่จะกล่าวถึงความตั้งใจ จุดมุ่งหมาย แรงบันดาลใจ สิ่งใดที่ทำให้คุณต้องเลือกเรียนสาขาวิชานี้ คุณลักษณะของตนเองรวมถึงจุดเด่น มุมมองทางความคิด และอธิบายเหตุผลต่างๆ

ซึ่งสิ่งเราเหล่านี้เองจะสามารถทำให้คณะกรรมการได้รับรู้เรื่องราวความเป็นตัวตนที่แท้จริงของเราได้เป็นอย่างดี

แต่ทำอย่างไรถึงจะทำให้สิ่งเหล่านี้ให้เป็นที่น่าสนใจและถูกใจคณะกรรมการมากที่สุด เพราะทางเลือกที่ดีก็ย่อมจะมีเงื่อนไข ดังนั้นสิ่งที่เขียนไม่ว่าจะเป็นในส่วนของแรงบันดาลใจหรือเหตุผลต่างๆ ที่ทำให้เราเลือกที่จะสมัครเรียนในสาขาวิชานี้ก็ควรที่จะเขียนให้เป็นที่โดดเด่นเน้นคำที่ถูกต้องเนื้อหาน่าอ่าน และสร้างความประทับใจให้มากที่สุด เหตุผลต่างๆ ที่นำมากล่าวอ้างสามารถเป็นตัวสนับสนุนในเนื้อหาได้เป็นอย่างดี ตลอดจนการกล่าวถึงประโยชน์หรือสิ่งที่จะได้รับเมื่อคุณสำเร็จการศึกษาออกไปจะเป็นการแสดงให้เห็นว่าคุณมีความมุ่งมั่นและตั้งใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งและเหมาะสมที่จะเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของทางมหาวิทยาลัย และเชื่อว่าทางคณะกรรมการก็คงจะต้องมองเห็นความสำคัญในส่วนนี้มากเช่นเดียวกัน

โดยในการเขียน ควรจะอ้างเนื้อหาหรือเหตุผลที่มีความเกี่ยวเนื่องกับสาขาวิชาที่เรียน ไม่ควรนำเอาประเด็นที่นอกเหนือมายก เพราะจะทำให้เรียงความของคุณจะไม่เป็นที่น่าสนใจของคณะกรรมการเป็นอย่างยิ่ง จนทำให้คุณพลาดโอกาสดีๆ นี้ไป แทนที่จะได้ทำตามฝันที่คุณต้องการและหมายมุ่งก้าวเข้าสู่บันไดแห่งความสำเร็จ

Statement of Purpose

In secondary school, I became interested in computer security, which is why I subsequently enrolled in undergraduate studies at …………………………, ABC University after graduating from secondary school, pursuing a degree in Computer Science (English Programme). ABC University has a stellar reputation for the technological courses it provides. I want to expand my knowledge in the field I intend to work in for the foreseeable future, and I feel this programme will provide me with the opportunity to do so. I have been fully engaged in this field since I initially started studying it, and I have seized every occasion to enrol in any related computer security course I could find. I am confident I have been able to gain new ideas and practices by engaging in all necessary activities as a result of this.

Following completion of my education, I was given the chance to join the IP Communication Laboratory and undertake a VoIP project thanks to a research scholarship provided by the Thai government. Armed with a bachelor’s degree, I worked at VC Group, a joint venture of (XYZ) Corporation, the world’s largest hardware manufacturer, as a software engineer in Cloud computing and security. The company works on Apple’s behalf to create products. My major duties involved product security and infrastructure as a service research, design, development, implementation, and testing. Additionally, I worked as an outsourcer in the TRUE Internet data centre for two years, utilising the Cloud computing service. Each firm offered me with significant job experience and an internship that bolstered my ability to confront real-world circumstances and issues at work. One of the most essential traits to note about me is that I have never given up on overcoming any challenge. I always attempt to resolve difficulties since I believe it will demonstrate my capability in terms of becoming a future specialist in this intriguing area.

I currently work for (BBC) Company as a (Postion). Penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, static application security testing, risk assessment, and incident response are some of my main responsibilities, which I have been doing for the past year and a half. As a consequence, I have realised the importance of cyber security for organisations, and I remain eager to learn more so that I may return to Thailand and further promote the computer security sector. Because of the prestige of lecturers that teach this subject and their membership in …………………., I chose (University’s Name) for my MSc in ………………….. degree. In addition, I am looking forward to studying all topics related to communication and computer security, as well as digital forensics. Not only are academic classes available, but an administration course is also available, which I assume is an extracurricular course.
